People try many different ways to quit smoking. They try quit smoking aids, hypnosis and cold turkey. Many people use hypnosis as a way to quit smoking. What is entails is going to a hypnotist and your subconscious being programmed to stop smoking. This does work, but some people find that after a few months, they have a relapse and smoking again. This is the reason why the hypnotist will tell you to come back in a few months for reinforcement of the hypnosis. Following through with this advice is important to avoid starting to smoking again.

Use Of Affirmations

You will find that some people are recommending self-affirmation as one of the ways to quit smoking. This is similar to hypnosis accept you are doing this yourself without the hypnotists help. It might be that you just need something in your hand to replace the cigarette. If this is the case, then carrying toothpicks, straws and the nicotine inhaler stick around may eliminate the need for a cigarette.
